Be sure to click on the pic for a bigger version. Oh, and take your time looking at them and their names…
That’s 175 helmets folks!!!
There are 70 unique helmets. The other 105 are variant skins of those helmets.
The ones with the diagonal gold bars are Legendary helmets. Harder to come by. Note these are both Blue team and Fireteam Osiris’ helmets as well as Helioskrill and Nightfall.
Here is the list of helmets in alphabetical order (and please if you repost this, give halofanforlife.com credit and relink to here, as it took me awhile to alphabetize, research, and type this out, thanks)
Each helmet has a default version without a named skin to it. The ones listed to the right of the helmet name are the additional skin variants.
I’ve also included links for some of the peculiarly named helmets/skins. If text following is RED, it denotes a short explanation for the names.

As for my opinion on them?? Read below!
Helmets I like initially:
Anubis: The name alone is awesome. I like the shape, especially the jaw where it looks like it has mandibles
Athlon: Seems like an instant classic. Football type helmet, big visor.
Cypher: Looks like a mix of Air Assault and War Master. Nice combination
Goblin: Okay, going to say it…Looks like something from Destiny. But that’s not a bad thing. Can’t wait to see which parts are the visor.
Helioskrill: A female Sanheilli designed this…Very cool!
Hunter: Because Locke!
Mako: This may be the next ‘Gungnir’ helmet! The fact that it’s named for a shark and variants have shark teeth on it on going to make this popular, I’m betting.
Maverick: A slim looking profile for this. Nice large visor. Are those HORNS on tops of it?!
Noble: I’m SO very happy that there is a Reach style helmet here. Carter’s is a GREAT choice!
Recluse: Okay, first, just the name is cool. As in Brown Recluse Spider….Those two big “Eyes” on it tho!
Technician: This is the helmet of Spartan Tanaka. Definitely another that just FEELS right. Good visor size, check and jaw protection.
Venture: Ohhhh Yeaahhh This just looks evil! Despite it’s wide spread ‘eyes’, it just screams, ‘Be VERY scared of me!”
Helmets I don’t like:
Foehammer: Too bad the name isn’t enough. I appreciate 343 honoring Foehammer. But this helmet design isn’t doing it for me.
Hellcat: For the most part, I’m not a big fan of visorless or misplaced visors on a helmet. This just looks a metal bucket plopped onto a head.
Vector: Um, it has a big bulbous THING on it’s forehead…
Not sure:
Interceptor: Hmm, looks like a stunted growth of a Defender helmet and a little bit of Stormtrooper from Star Wars
Legionnaire: I like the name. I get what they are going for. But the nose guard doesn’t quite look right. Or maybe it’s the large jaw??
Reaper: Another that seems like a mix of a couple. A bit of War Master in it for sure. The cheeks are a little puffy for me. Again, will have to see this in full color before I decide if I like it or not.
Seeker: This has potential. Seems like an Egyptian headdress. Again, have to see this in color first.
Teishin: Hmm, I ding the cultural name of it. Will have to see this one in full color.
Valkyrie: I mostly like this. Just not sure about the low jaw line
Any other ones not mentioned are neither great nor bad. They just fall in the middle somewhere.
Okay…I’ve done my homework on these folks…..LOL.
Are you going to try and collect them all? I most certainly will!!

Awesome!
Some of these are great looking! Others, not so much……
Thanks for taking the time to type this out!
Did you follow any of the links? Which ones did you like more and which ones didn’t you like.
Another link you could add for the CSAR variant of Aviator.

I have usually heard this pronounced as “Caesar”. One of the main characters (an US Air Force Colonel and MH-53J pilot) in Tom Clancy’s Clear and Present Danger had the call sign “Ceasar” because he was the king of Combat Search and Rescue.
Oh, that is very good! Thanks!! Will do that now.
