Halo 5: Launch Gameplay Trailer

Halsey has some distressing words to start this video out, huh?

Locke giving an ultimatum to Chief? Um, not going to end well for someone…

As for the song chosen, while I like Muse, it’s the words in the song that have me questioning things. “Noone’s going to take me alive” Hmm, if Chief is killed…

Look, I get it, 343 wants a new main character. That doesn’t mean they need to kill off Chief. Have a second character and a spin-off game. That’s fine.

  1. Good stuff.

The music was a bit off-putting at first I’ll have to admit, but that’s just me.

Regarding Locke, it seems that that was the leaked-in-theater fist-fighting scene. Chief walks up to Locke with an a-okay visor, then (presumably after the fight) says that “he has a job to do” with a big crack in it. The fist fighting sequence started with Chief knocking Locke’s BR out of his hands. So it seems that Chief had quite the fight on his hands, as:

    1. In the fist-fighting sequence, we see Chief headbutt Locke. Headbutting, from what I understand, is a defensive and a -more or less- desperate move to get some space.

    2. Locke gets through Chief’s shield, and then apparently gives his visor a good blow.

So it seems that Chief has his hands full. Though it also seems that he won anyway. I wonder what Locke looked like? Maybe immobilized? Maybe they were both still standing when Chief says that “he has a job to do”, and then Chief just walks away?

I can’t wait to find out!

  2. Still worried about Chief possibly dying, eh?

While I share some of your concern, you have to admit that Chief’s death (in this game at least) is unlikely.
