In all the excitement over Halo 5 Guardians being released, I nearly forgot there was another issue of Escalation that came out too.

Halo Escalation #23 takes place just prior to the events of Halo 5. So this is a MUST, in my opinion, to own. It helps explain some of the campaign of Halo 5 from a viewpoint we only glimpse otherwise.

This issue is one of the rare ones that has little text to read. (Something I actually rather enjoyed for this issue.) The artwork is very good!

As issue 23 is the 5th of a 6-part story arc, next issue is sure to bring this to a thrilling conclusion. Given the ending of issue 23, I think it’s safe to say we’ll see more of a sort of prequel story to Halo 5 Guardians that leads right into the game.  That’s my hope anyway.
