And now for the HFFL Exclusive info about this!

I had several messages with Sandbox about the 3D Spartans and they were more than helpful in providing me additional information and additional pics you will NOT find on other sites. (If you do, they copied the info from here, so please let me know about that, thanks)

The following are questions I posed to sandboxr, with their replies in orange.

How long do you plan to make Halo Spartan figures?
We plan on making 3D Printed Spartans indefinitely.

Besides ordering through halowaypoint.com, may we order direct from you?
Halowaypoint is the only place to buy Halo 5 Guardians Spartans.

What material are the figures made from?
Each figure is made from Sandstone composite material and dipped in a finishing solution that gives it strength and shine.

Approximately how long does it take to 3D print a figure? (Please note times for each size- small, medium, large)
It takes approximately 20+ hours to print a full bed of around 20 figures.

HFFL: Yes, your gametes goes on the base! (Actually, you can add any text up to a certain number of characters, but why would you want something other than your gamertag???)

Will the figure come in packaging emblazoned with Halo graphics and/sandboxr graphics?
We pack all Spartans in specially designed packaging that is Sandboxr branded. Each Spartan has it’s own unique packaging based on it’s 3D file. This ensures it makes it to the fan unbroken.

Approximately how soon after ordering can a consumer expect to receive their order? Feel free to specify for overseas shipping as well.
Each print is made to order on demand and can take anywhere from 2 to 3 weeks to leave our manufacturing facility. An email will be sent once it is dispatched with shipping information and tracking number. Within the US it will take and additional 2 – 3 days to ship to the fan’s door. Internationally the average is 2 weeks, however it can range from one week to 3 weeks depending on the country.

How long has Sandboxr been a company?
Sandboxr was formed in 2011 and has been working with video game companies since this time, forging strong licensing partnerships. You can visit sandboxr.com to checkout a few more IP’s we are currently working with. Although this is the not the full extent, we have many companies waiting to launch with Sandboxr.

Thanks for answering these questions folks!

Okay, so let’s take a look at how you order one for yourself. I’m using my current Halo 5 Spartan as reference here.

First, go to your account on HaloWaypoint, then click Profile, then View Service Record, then Halo 5 Guardians. Next click ‘Customize Spartan

You should get a pop up window similar to this:

3D Spartan Start

Again, that’s my current Spartan. Customize your spartan with whatever armor and helmets you have unlocked thus far, including the color of the armor and visor. See the 3d Print tab with the sandbox logo? Click that.

You will get another pop-up within that window that looks like this:

3D Spartan Pop-up

That image is a standard image that everyone should get. As you can see it’s not my specific spartan. Click Print Your Spartan. You’ll be taken to the following page:

• Here is where you will see which armor and helmet you’ve chosen as well as colors for primary and secondary on your armor and visor color.
• You get to choose from whichever poses you’ve unlocked as well to this point.
• Next, put in whatever text you want for the base. I will be putting my Gamertag. I suggest the same for you folks. At the least, please keep it clean….(That said, now I know someone is going to be childish and type something immature.)
• After this, choose which size you want your Spartan printed at.

Note the cost of each size (all in US dollars):
Small 4-4.5 inches: $29.99
Medium 5-5.5 inches: $49.99
Large 6-7 inches: $89.99

Click preview. Here is what I get for my current spartan:

If you click ‘continue’ you will be taken to the payment page:

3D payment page

I’ve cropped the page just to show this information. Note that from now until DECEMBER 6, shipping is FREE!!!!

[UPDATE] Here is the info about shipping after December 6 and more

So I highly suggest that you get your order in before then. But in the meantime, continue to unlock stuff in Halo 5 Guardians. You may get something unlocked that looks even better to you than what your current spartan looks like!

Now we know quite a bit more about the process from ordering to delivery and more!

I will be ordering these with a coupon I have. Once I get them in, I’ll be posting product reviews, so be on the lookout for those next month!!
