Okay, now that we’ve been shown an ever so slight peek as to what’s to come, let’s speculate on what those updates may actually include, shall we?

First, here is the part of the graphic that shows some of the next few updates:

Now of course each update will have a set of emblems, likely armor, and possibly weapons. So some of those areas of speculation may be skimmed over.

Now let’s take a look at each one specifically and speculate.

First we have to consider the location part of the name of the update. It’s very likely we will get a map based on this area in the campaign. My hopes are for BOTH an arena styled map AND a Warzone map. There are certainly big enough areas on the Meridian missions to accommodate both. As for the skybox of any Meridian map, the Guardian looming large in the background would be a logical choice.

Next, we should consider some new forge objects. Again hoping here…We will see the addition of those 6-wheeled mining vehicles. You can find those on “Escape from A.R.C.” in Warzone as well. Imagine if those were drivable? Not likely, but still a neat idea! Like a sort-of-replacement for the Elephant from Halo 3. Also, the ONI Prowler would be an AWESOME item to include. HUGE! It could serve as a base of sorts. If not that, then at least something that is in the skybox.

As for weapons, I don’t see any new weapons, but new skins, yes. Perhaps either the Corporate skin as seen on the hogs, mongooses and scorpion on Meridian. I think that would look pretty cool. If not that, then hopefully something along the lines of very gritty/dirty weapons. Mud splatter maybe? New armor? Hmm, possibly something mining related OR Promethean related. Personally, I’d like to see something more Promethean related.

One other thing to consider is something Cortana related. In the campaign, Chief goes there to find her. In essence, she’s the “Ghost”. But what could that something be??

 Oh, this one I’m particularly excited for.

My guess for armor would be something Noble related. We already have armor based on Carter, Kat, and now Noble 6. Emile is slightly touched with the Orbital armor. So how about Jun and Jorge related? Jorge was my favorite of Noble and you can bet there would be a good number of folks who would LOVE to have Jun’s armor!

As for vehicles, well now, here we are talking! Falcon! Revenant! Those two just make total sense to me. 343 has been teasing saying UNSC air vehicles are coming. This is the PERFECT opportunity to bring in the Falcon!

We might see a Reach style DMR. Skin set for weapons could have the Noble Emblem on them.

There are PLENTY of choices for maps here. Too many for me to list, so just think to yourselves about the campaign in Reach as well as the MP/Firefight maps… Countdown would be great, even though there is a fan made one out there. Imagine the ground pounds!! Sword base would be freakin’ outstanding, IMO. I LOVED playing on that map! Some great memories there!!

Forge items. Hmm, well I’d love to see that Covenant tower that was in the third mission, Nightfall. That area itself the night time version of the MP map, Powerhouse.

Now…how about something nearly as exciting as Firefight being mentioned…Invasion! Wouldn’t it be out-friggin’-standing if we got Invasion in Halo 5? Imagine being able to play as Elites again. Okay, this may be a pipe dream. Then again, Firefight coming back to Halo was a pipe dream not so long ago as well…

In the skybox of maps, either the Pillar of Autumn or a Paris Class Frigate.

Now I’ll admit, this one I’m not so sure on what we may get. We already have practically all the variants of hogs out there. I can see the Reach style Rocket Hog here though.

Perhaps some HEAVIES related maps for BTB?

The picture makes me think Halo 3 with the warthog that is showing.

That in mind, might we get some of the classic Halo 3 armor? If so, which ones? CQB? EOD? Oh there are definitely more to choose from.

As for other potential vehicles, if this is indeed Halo 3 related, then maybe the Hornet???

I can’t ATM think what else might be put in this update. (But if I think of something, I’l add it in later).

And last but MOST DEFINITELY not least…

This by far is the biggest announcement yet for an of the updates, IMO. Well being that I’m a HUGE fan of Firefight.

As we saw from the ever so brief glimpse in the video, Firefight will be put onto Warzone maps. How much of those maps will be used remains to be seen. I think it’s safe to say however that the main central areas would be utilized. This of course will depend on how many Spartans will be on the map. From the vid, it looks like 6-8 at least. That would be 1.5-2 times as many as Reach ever had.

Maps like ARC would work very well as there is that large area around the garage. Both armories could be included as well. Just block off the two tunnels to each side of the map and close off the team bases and BAM WZFF map! As for other maps, Stormbreak could do something similar. Close off the tunnels to the back area, and put rock walls in the way just beyond the armories to keep people away from the player bases. There is PLENTY of room on Apex 7 for FF. Noctus would be a GRAND adventure for Firefight!!

As for weapons, perhaps the sticky detonator? Skins could have some kind of Forerunner/Promethean feel to them?

New vehicles? Well, I’d love to see some kind of small Promethean Soldier vehicle. Either a 1 or 2 manned land based vehicle. Floating of course, not on wheels. Perhaps a precursor to the Covenant Ghost??

Now since Firefight was introduced into Halo at Halo 3 ODST, I can see variants on the HellJumper armor to reflect those of the squad from the game. Imagine being Mickey or Romeo or Dutch?

Something else to chew on…Mega Bloks is making a NEW style Cyclops. Might THAT be a new vehicle entering the fray? It would be GREAT in Firefight. A way to really decimate large numbers of enemies!!

I’m sure I’m forgetting stuff I have already thought of…I’m just so darn excited though! When I think up other stuff, I’ll update this article or do a follow up article.
