Halo Cosplay and the 405th!

I like cosplay. I’ve been known to wear costumes to conventions (and elsewhere) myself. Though not as extreme as many out there. I always admire those who have the time to build elaborate costumes, especially those of Halo Spartans. Below are a couple of pics I came across over the weekend. And at the end, some pics of a Spartan Locke Helmet in progress by a member of the 405th (Halo Cosplay group).

Halo Community Update

We have returned from gamescom – some of us with terrible jetlag, others with a mild case of the post-gamescom flu, and all with stories to tell. Whether it was talking with Halo fans who spent entire days at the Arena or Warzone booths, reuniting with friends that we had met in year’s past, or commiserating with fellow fans about the German heat, we had a blast hanging out with all of you.

Our pilgrimage to Germany also gave us an opportunity to show off some new, never-before-seen goodies, including a new multiplayer trailer, some new Arena tournament gameplay, and more. One of those mores, of course, is Halo Wars 2. Continue reading →

Wie geht’s, Halo fans? By now, most of you know that the ever-epic gamescom convention is well underway in beautiful Köln, Germany, where hundreds of thousands of game fans are converging to check out their favorite titles and franchises. With no hint of bias at all, we’d certainly like to think that at least a handful or twelve made the trip to Deutschland with hopes of getting their eyes and hands on some new Halo goodness. 3rd Annual HFFL Halo LAN Recap

Well, this year’s LAN has come and gone. Games were played, prizes awarded, eats were had and everyone walked away with a few goodies as well.

No to be more specific…

HUNTtheTRUTH season 2 starts recording!

Frank O’Conner let us know a few days ago that this past Saturday, the second season of HUNTtheTRUTH began recording!

This is exciting news. Well, to me it is anyway. I really enjoyed the first season. Season 2 will feature Cobie Smolders (Avengers: SHIELD Agent Hill, How I Met Your Mother) as the lead character, Petra Janecek. This is a role she reprises from season one of HtT.

Season 2 runs all the way up to the release of Halo 5 Guardian!

Halo Wars 2: Brute leader bust

Halo Wars 2 logo croppedBy now you’ve seen the Brute leader from the Halo Wars 2 trailer. I posted this earlier this month.

What you may not have seen is a sculpted bust of the Brute leader. So let’s take a look, shall we?

He’s an ugly mug, isn’t he? Not the sculpt, the actual character. I like that he’s got a kind of Scottish/Viking feel to him. This may be an insight into his character.

Update on Halo Monopoly

As I posted earlier this month,  there will be a Halo Monopoly game.At that time, I only had a graphic of the box. Now there are a few more images to share.

Now we see the board and the pieces.

Here’s a close up of the pieces. Which would you use? I’m partial to Chief’s helmet and the Warthog. BTW, the third one from left (between the energy sword and Chief’s helmet) is the Arbiter’s new helmet.And finally a close up of the board itself.Monopoly GameboardI am definitely getting this. Even if just to have as a collectible. However, I foresee this being part of the HFFL Halo LAN next year!!!

I don’t yet have the price nor availability. When I do, I’ll either update this article or post it later if the information is far removed from the date of this posting.

Who or what is the Promethean on the right???

Halo 5 new promethean

Forgive me that I can’t recall where this graphic came from. IIRC, it may be from Waypoint itself. Regardless, the question here is, who or what is the dark Promethean on the right of this image? It looks like another Soldier type, but more deadly.

Halo 5 UI screens????

The following were posted on NeoGaf. A friend of mine alerted me to these screenshots of what may be part of the User Interface (UI) of Halo 5 Guardians.

I make no claim that these are real, so take these with a grain of salt. I will say this, they don’t look bad and if they turn out to be the real deal, I’d be happy about it.

I definitely like the use of the Infinity. Though note that it’s being used here for multiplayer. I’m curious to see if the Infinity will play any key role in the campaign.IMG_4420 Continue reading →

Back at it!!

Hello my dear readers. I’ve been away from the blog for a little over a week now. Things happening in life took my attention away, but those had to be addressed.

As well, the last several days, I was plagued by a massive migraine headache. When I get those, I barely feel like doing anything.

So apologies to you al for not being here for a time. I’m getting back into the swing of it and will be catching up on a lot of Halo news that has happened since I previously posted.

Showtime still developing Halo TV series

The Steven Spielberg-produced Halo TV series is still alive at Showtime… Though it seems it still may not be seen for quite awhile.

Reports first surfaced back in May 2014 that Showtime was the potential home for the series — which itself was first announced by Spielberg in 2013 and we then heard from Xbox shortly after that the series would debut fall 2015, alongside Halo 5 – though Showtime’s participation was never officially announced.
