Halo Special Event This Saturday
Nov 8th 12noon-10pm
Streamed Live from GameOn 12:30 PM at Twitch.tv/gameguypgh

Halo has a special place in our hearts for many reasons. From the iconic them song, online play with your friends, and the birth of competitive gaming on console. One way or the other you have heard of or played Halo at some point in your life. When 343, the developers who Developed Halo 4, announce that they were remaking Master Chiefs epic journey, I think that most of us who grew up with Halo cried tears of delight.Halo: The Master Chief Collection is sure to be nothing but spectacular. Playing all multiplayer maps and straight through his journey from Halo to Halo 4 in beautiful 60 frames and 1080p.

Well Gamers how would you like to play the Game before it even comes out Nov 11th. This Saturday Nov 8th you will be able to play whatever part of Master Chief’s adventure that you would like before anyone else. Whether that be campaign or multiplayer you choose how to spend your time with the game. Max Parker from the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette has gotten permission from 343 to stream and for you guys to play. He will be at our store to answer any questions you have and give a small presentation before hands on time begins. The requirements to play are laid out below. We are extremely grateful to Max for making GameOn a part of this and can’t wait to play the game ourselves. Thanks guys and hope to see you there!!

Requirements: Hands on time will begin at 1:30pm (EST). We will try and give everyone as much time with the game as we can. As of right now we don’t know how many people will be at this event so the more we get the less time you will have with the game. One way or the other you will be able to get a decent amount of play time.

  • You must sign up for our free membership when you arrive if you don’t have one. It only takes 5 minutes in store.
  • You must add 2 hours of play time or more to your membership. Our rates are $4 and hour and package deals are available. We only except cash!! To see these price options click the contact us tab at the top of our main page.
  • There is no outside food or drinks allowed at this event however you may order lunch or dinner!
  • Last if you need direction to our store click the contact us tab at the top of our main page.
  • Have Fun and enjoy playing Halo

HFFL: There you have it. Essentially, the cost of admission is $8. Now consider that it’s not just being able to play the game early, which of course is the BEST part. It’s also that you’ll be sharing in the fun with other Halo fans, be they local or elsewhere, and through the stream.

I’m hoping there is enough participation that we can have a mini tourney. And if so, I’ll be looking to commentate it.

So come on out and join in what will be a Halo filled day. I might have some little things to give away, will likely have a trivia contest, and who knows what else.
