Welcome back as always, folks! This week has been a pretty busy one at the studio, both with elements we’ve recently revealed as well as secrets yet to come. This week I sat down with 343 Industries’ Franchise Development Director Frank O’Connor to talk about a couple of very specific topics that he’s pretty passionate about: his recently-released digital short, Halo: Saint’s Testimony and Hunt the Truth Season 2, which debuted this week into the eager ears of fans all over the world. Without further ado, let’s hear what he thinks about all the recent goings-on… Continue reading

Master Chief DEAD??? Say it ain’t so, 343!!

Okay, so if you haven’t heard the news yet, the below video shows a news feed proclaiming to humanity that Master Chief has died. The date is Oct 27, 2560 (same release date as Halo 5, other than the year of course).

As well, the voice of Master Chief leaves a possibly cryptic tweet:

Okay, shocking as this may be if you’re just now seeing/reading/hearing about this for the first time, let me point out that it may not be true…

I’ll have more on this later in another article. For now, stew this over in your mind.

Would 343/MS really kill off their ‘Super Mario”? If so, wow, shocking and very short sighted, IMO….again, more on this later.

Visualize Master Chief’s helmet in messages!

I’ve already left my note. Have you? Clicking on the pic below will take you to a site that will allow your message to become part of Halo history as well as Master Chief’s helmet.

Master Chief visual message helmet

Each little piece you see is a message by someone. This website is interactive too. You can move your mouse up and down, left and right and the helmet will move as such.

It’s even better if you are using a tablet! Move your tablet around and the helmet moves with it! Very cool!!

Halo 5 First Impressions: destructoid-New Toys Familiar Feel

This is a reblog from destruction:

Halo 5: Guardians has some new toys but a familiar feel
by Rey Gutierrez

Meet Kelly, Fred, Linda, and John!

Master Chief, Cortana, Grunts, Elites and the UNSC, all names that should sound familiar to Halo fans and fans of gaming alike. Before we had “Guardians,” there was just evolved combat in the original Halo: Combat Evolved, which released on the first Xbox on November 15, 2001. Since then, the Halo franchise has endured several sequels, prequels, books, spin-offs, and I’m sure a collection of naughty fan-fiction in the darkest reaches of the Internet. Continue reading
