I often scour the web for some cool Halo art. Today, I saw some great stuff on Pinterest and added them to my pins. As you can now see to the right, I’ve added a link to my Pinterest board for easy access. In the meantime, here are some of the pics I pinned today. Credit to each artist at the pins on Pinterest!

I love all the great stuff Halo fans come up with. Please give them a follow on Pinterest and/or a thanks for their great work.

It’s quirky, funny and at times off-color. Definitely not a kids kind of show, even if it is made with toys. I’ve only had the chance to watch the first episode of the series, but it’s worth the watch.
My bud Andrew Gagnon made this. He’s part of Post Game Carnage Report. Give him a follow on Twitter too, if you will.

The bulletin starts off with the road to the finals of the Halo 4 Global Championship. It’s a recap of the RTX, On-line, and Gamescom qualifiers.
Next up is of course the expected H4GC finals:
Bravo recounts the days leading up to and including the finals event. Interestingly enough, Ace, the eventual winner ALMOST didn’t even play in the PAX rounds. He barely made it in time to register and compete.
The Elite Eight:
Getting ready to play the 8-person FFA match.
The final four:
The CHAMP!
Matchmaking Playlist Update:
Surprisingly not much in this section this week. I suspect that is due to taking a small break after PAX/Halo4GC. Though Fri-Sun’s matchmaking daily challenges are listed:
Friday:
Up Close and Personal: Earn 5 CQC Medals in a single match.
2000 XP
Raise the Flag: Win 5 matchmaking Capture the Flag matches.
4000 XP
Saturday:
Drop Bears!: Assassinate 3 Players in a single match.
2700 XP
I Predict a Riot: Earn 4 Killing Spree medals in a single match.
3200 XP
Sunday:
Game Over, Man!: Complete 10 matchmaking War Games matches.
3500 XP
Got Backup: Get 40 kills with a Secondary Weapon.
4000 XP

This is a GREAT deal for those who don’t have the game yet. For those that do and have not bought any of the DLC, it’s a great deal as well. ALl the DLC and all but the FOTUS preorder armor. ON that note, I am happy that FOTUS is not parts of this offer. Everything else was free with pre-orders. The FOTUS could ONLY be had if you bought the limited edition Halo 4 XBOX. That truly was limited and exclusive.
And finally, as usual the bulletin ends with a Screenshot Spotlight. This week: Pitfall!
There are some pretty cool shots in this one.
If you want to read the full bulletin, go to the official site, here.

I’ll be asking trivia questions throughout the LAN Event. If you get it right first, you’ll win a small prize. (Once you’ve won, please give someone else a chance to win.)
These small prizes will range from Halo Mega Bloks minifigures to McFarlane Halo Avatar figures, to a McFarlane Halo 4 Watcher action figure, or a McFarlane Halo 4 Crawler action figure.
Don’t forget EVERYONE who comes to the event (with paid admission) gets a free Halo Mega Bloks convention exclusive minifigure as a door prize and my thanks for attending the LAN Event, courtesy of Mega Brands, makers of Halo Mega Bloks.

HFFL has been promoting the LAN for a few weeks now. In that short time, I got 26 registrations. Not too bad considering the limited time.
During this time I also contacted several Halo licensees to see if they’d donate prizes. Door prizes and prizes for the Free-For-All tournament that is part of the LAN.
MEGA Brands, makers of Halo MEGA Bloks answered the call!!
Everyone coming to the LAN with paid admission will receive the Halo minifigure exclusive. So far it’s only been given out at San Diego Comicon, with expectations of it likely being given away at New York Comicon as well.
In addition to that, the top three finishers in the FFA tourney will receive prizes.
These are:
1st place: one each of the Halo Mega Bloks Night Ops Gauss Hog and Anti Armor Cobra (total value approx $83 before tax)
2nd place: Mega Bloks Anti Armor Cobra (approx value $50)
3rd place: Mega Bloks Night Ops Gauss Hog (approx value $33)
I’ve already reviewed the Gauss Hog here.
Here’s a pic of the set for reference:
And a reference pic of the Anti Air Cobra:
I look forward to meeting all of you who are coming to the LAN.
Dont’ forget we’re stream the LAN/games as well!
For more information, please check the HFFL LAN Event tab in the menu bar at the top or click here!

This shot is even better than the first (see below) as it shows the lighting as well as the shoulder floating armor in much better detail. And check out the amazing Needler! (Even if the Didact didn’t use one, it’s still COOL!)
Here’s the original pic I posted a few days ago.
I’m already a huge fan of Sparth’s. I love concept art in general and his is among the best I’ve ever seen.
He tweeted out a link to 5 more concept art pieces. I’m bringing those to you now. (Click to make bigger)
A portion of the crashed Forward Unto Dawn. Even in concept the detail is amazing.
This seems to be a concept of the core of Requiem. VERY different from what ends up in the game.
Both dark and light shots of the same scene. Again the detail and depth of field Sparth exhibits in his artwork is simply amazing!
The jungles of Requiem. Hmm, what is that ablazing?
You can follow Sparth on twitter@ at @nbsparth I highly recommend him!

Whether you’ve seen the show or not, this 15 minute recap of the highlights of gameplay is EXCITING! It’s hugely bolstered by Goldenboy and Bravo’s commentating. That doesn’t however take away from the great game play that was on display.
Take a look!
Thanks to Beyond Entertainment for tweeting the vid.

While the original video was pulled form Vimeo, ForgeWorldMaps grabbed the important part that shows at the end, the title of the next Halo game being Halo 5. Take a look:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3MDYZXp_KQg
So, we have to wonder, why would 343 stay quiet on this? Is it really that big of a deal that they can’t confirm or deny outright that the title is Halo 5? It only makes sense to call it that.
