Every once in awhile, I get an idea for a custom build with Mega Bloks. The new Phaeton Gunship seemed to already have much of what I wanted to do here. That being make a Promethean Soldier’s head. Now, I didn’t have enough pieces to make a fully 3D head. So instead I concentrated on the face with elements of the side and top of the head.
This was made with only ONE set of the Phaeton. No other pieces from any other set were used. So if you want to make this, you can and know exactly what you will need to replicate it.
I worked primarily from the following two graphics to make the face: Continue reading
Folks at the Windows 10 event in New York got the opportunity to create their own Spartan. As you can see by the pic below, they’ll get them in a few weeks. Unfortunately, it looks like this wasn’t open to the public as an ongoing thing.
Who knows though, maybe this will continue through New York Comicon? Wish I was there. I would SOOOO want to make one of these!
I saw this on Facebook earlier today. IIRC, one of the folks from Podcast Unlocked reposted the link to it.
It’s a Brute Chieftain of course, though the under costume is that of a Gorilla. (I’ve always thought of Chieftains as Gorillas evolved anyway, so it works for me.

Video comes via Podtacular’s Youtube channel.
Tons and tons of choices. I’m kind of ‘meh’ when it comes to not being able to choose different shoulder/chest/arms/legs armor. There are many to choose from, so mix/matching really becomes practically moot.
I wasn’t sure which was harder to comprehend: The writing on the wall or the mess he’d made of the safe house.
Maya is on the run. After nearly being killed in a massive assault on a rebel base by ONI, she flees to what she thinks is a safe house… Continue reading
This is a reblog from Halo Waypoint:

When the original Forge mode was released back in 2007, who could have known the impact it would have on Halo? More than just a map editor, Forge allowed players to collaborate with one another and create brand-new, unique experiences in a multiplayer session. For the first time, friends could test a map live while it was being built. This empowered creativity, allowed for rapid iteration and led to the discovery of all sorts of happy accidents. Best of all, building in Forge could be as fun as playing the game. Halo players embraced this new tool, letting their imaginations run wild. Since then, some of the most fun and creative ideas in Halo have come directly from the community, via Forge. Continue reading
From Foley to Acting to Music, this episode has that all.
Foley is one job I’d LOVE to have. Making sounds out of things you might not think of to make sounds… I first learn about Foley art when I was a young teen. I was watching a behind the scenes video of how some of the Star Wars sounds were made, specifically the blasters. If I ever had a chance to work in that field, I’d JUMP at it!
As for the actors, I really enjoy seeing the actual people (sans Nathan Fillion in this vid) playing their parts. Does anyone else think Vale looks like a younger version of Bonnie Ross (343 Studio head)?? Continue reading
