Latest XBOX 360 mag says you can play as a “Promethean Mega Chief”???

Blog subscriber. Thomas Bradford, points out that in the new XBOX 360 magazine there is some VERY interesting information regarding “Halo 5.” I can’t confirm this, ATM, so take with a grain of salt.

Hey HFFL, Just finished reading the latest edition of the Xbox 360 magazine and in the halo Xbox One section of the magazine the people at Xbox 360 magazine played a bit of halo 5 and said the game looks incredible but game-play isn’t good at the moment. They also said that chief is fighting hurdles of Promethean’s and said that the massive forerunner in the trailer is also a Promethean. They also confirmed that spartan ops is not continuing in halo games and then they gave something away saying ‘ become one with a Promethean and turn into mega chief”. They briefly described Halo Xbox One as the master chief returns to battle the Promethean’s in the Xbox one’s first ever Halo game. They also talked about destiny and all other Xbox One launch titles and planned games.

If this is all true then we’re fighting Prometheans again.Spartan Ops not coming back…sigh. My worst fear for it confirmed, possibly.

The one line he says about “become one with a Promethean and turn into Mega Chief” is very VERY interesting and odd at the same time. I wonder what that could mean.

If anyone out there can confirm this is in the mag, PLEASE send my pics/scans so I can post as proof.

I want to publicly thank Sal DiPietro. (Yes, another “Sal”) In the past few weeks he’s lent me his copy of Silentium, gave me a copy each of the Halo 4 OST Vol2 and Forward Unto Dawn OST, as well as made a generous donation to the blog. He happens to be a local fellow to, so I had the pleasure of meeting him in person at a Barnes and Noble where we sat down for coffee and chatted about Halo for almost two hours.

Sal, my man, I’m afraid you’ve made a friend for life…

XBOX Avatar Item – Halo: Spartan Assault Tablet Prop

The game itself has just come out. Here’s a chance to show your support by getting the Halo: Spartan Assault Tablet Prop.

While perusing the marketplace on the net, I found the listing. See it here!

As you can see it costs 240MSP. Once activated a small Elite pops out of nowhere and lands on the tablet. Your avatar pokes at it for a minute while checking out the tablet. The back of the tablet is the logo as shown above.

An even BETTER Halo Mega Bloks 5th year Anniversary

Okay, just finished this one. This is what I had in mind originally, but I wanted to get something done quicker, so I did the other one first.

As I stated before, tis is a way for me to thank Mega Brands/Mega Bloks for their fantastic stewardship of their Halo license. I’m honored to call them my friends!

A Happy 5th year Anniversary to Halo Mega Bloks!

While I’m not certain of the exact date, I know the 5th anniversary of Mega Bloks having the Halo license is upon us. Especially so, given the video I posted previous to this article from Mega Bloks.

I took the opportunity earlier today to download all current figures (all 274 of them) they have on their newly redesigned site, with the idea of putting them all together in one massive collage.

I want to thank Mega Brands, parent company of Mega Bloks for 5 great years so far. In specific, Andrew Sparkes, whom I’ve been fortunate to have made a friend of, as well as Tanya Furci-Argento. There are others at Mega Brands as well that I’ve had the pleasure to meet. And most recently, Tim, the Social Media fellow for Halo Mega Bloks.

You’ve got a GREAT crew there Mega and I applaud all of your hard work to the license as well as your dedication to the fans of it. Rarely have I seen a toy manufacturer genuinely CARE, not only about it’s product, but also the fans for whom the product is made.

Happy Fifth Anniversary of having the license! And I’m sure I speak for many when I say, we look forward to MANY more years to come!
