It was an exciting week for Halo. Beyond all of the other stuff like the Sanctuary reveal, the Halo Channel reveal, people getting to play Halo 2 Anniversary campaign for the first time and so on, there was the matter of a Halo 2 Anniversary tournament. I covered the first two days of it a little. I would have covered the next two, however, the 2nd Annual HFFL LAN was going on and my attention was on that and being a good host to the folks who came to it. Continue reading

The Spirit of Fire podcast episode 13: 2nd Annual HFFL LANstravaganza

The LAN is complete and I’m back to blogging!
This year’s Annual HFFL LANstravaganza is complete. I stepped away from blogging and nearly all of social media from Friday to Monday morning. This, so that I could ensure I was a good and attentive host to my guests from all over the country. We actually had MORE people from out of state this year than local folks. That’s pretty darn cool, if you ask me. (Even if you didn’t, I just told you so, LOL)
This weary Spartan needs to clean up the house, catch up all the Gamescom events as well as al the social media missed.
I’ll have several Mega Bloks reviews coming this week as well. And as always, fresh Halo news! Of course I’ll have a complete recap of the events in a few days.
Stay tuned though folks, as I’ll be having Halo trivia questions for prizes leading up to HFFL’s 3rd anniversary as a blog on September 23rd!

Below is my analysis of key things to be seen in the video. I left the screenshots intact so that you can see when the image was taken during the viewing. Continue reading

Halo Pipe Cleaner figures to be displayed at 2nd Annual HFFL LANstravaganza!
I’ve featured these on the blog several times before. Since the first article of these back in December 2012, I’ve gotten to know the artist.
Not only is Isaiah ‘Rythmic Warrior’ great at making detailed pipe cleaner figures, he’s a Halo gamer. Continue reading
