McFarlane Forward unto Dawn Master Chief VS Hunter resin statue!

I want to thank readers “Will” and “James” for offering pics of their respective statues. Turns out, I didn’t need them after all…I was surprised beyond belief to receive one. The detail on how I received this will remain a secret (let the conspiracies begin…lol). Point is, I got this from UPS the other day and WOW is it a beauty!

Without further ado, here are the pics!

See, what did I tell you? Just AWESOME. Detailing is amazing, paint applications is superb. The heft of the piece is apparent. Given the VERY limited nature of this piece, I’m EXTREMELY happy to have one.

This is sure to be a Holy Grail of Halo. There are already people selling these on eBay for upwards of $700 and people are buying them for that much. WOW… I’m NEVER going to sell mine. If I had to sell off my collection, this would be one of two pieces I would forever keep.

I give this an emphatic 10 out of 10 medals. Even with the slight issue of two of the spikes, it’s still nearly perfect and for that it deserves a review score reflecting that. (Oh, I forgot to note that the two top front spikes aren’t as securely fastened as the others since they do not have metal pins to keep them in place like the other spikes do.)

Halo 4 War Games daily challenges: 12-23-12

Okay, these two are actually easy. If the 12 kills aren’t in one game, and just cumulative, then just play enough to get it. The other is easy. Play Swat or Infinity Slayer as that has the lowest team number count. This usually is pretty easy without having to hunt each person down specifically. So I wouldn’t worry about it too much during gameplay.

Halo 4 Infinity challenge a bust??? UPDATE!!!

UPDATE!!! The Spartan Ops Leader Boards have been reset. The leader has 145 games. Still a LOT, but nowhere near the 55K they had prior. It’s going to be a huge challenge to catch them, but I am going to try.

Folks, I promote the hell out of Halo. I LOVE it. But this latest “Infinity Challenge” contest? Hmm, no, I’m going to have to pull back on this until/unless the contest has been reset.

Why? Well because I went to check the Spartan Ops leaderboards just before this post and yeah, I’m on there…In tier three. Not that I would have been mad at that as I would have played more to move up. No…

The problem is, that EVERY Spartan Ops game PRIOR to 12/17/12 (The actual contest start day) was taken into account. Already the leader on the boards has more than 55K games played. WTH? How can this be done in just under 40 hours? IMPOSSIBLE.

It even says I have over 3,500 games played. All well and good, but those were almost all before the contest.

Look, I love 343 for making a new Halo game, but I’m not above calling them out on something like this. Love ya 343, but this contest is a HUGE FAIL.

Reset it please or cancel it. It’s a mockery to what you should be trying to establish as being the new caretakers of Halo.

If the contest gets reset, then I’m all good. If not, then I just won’t play anywhere near as much as I would have. I would have played Halo 4 like it was my job. Now I’ll just play for fun, whenever.
